There is Never a 'Right Time'

There is never a good time to do anything, the time is never right.

“I’d love to go to that concert, but it’s too expensive”……..

”I really need a holiday but I’m too busy”…………..

”I so much want to work for myself but the market’s just not right”.

“I don’t have the time to do that…”

Etc. etc. etc.

These are everyday examples of people’s lives and I am definitely not downplaying the significance of any of them, they are all genuine and legitimate forces in people’s lives that prevent them from doing the things they want.

But really, honestly, have a very close look at yourself when you make these statements. Yes I understand that concert is expensive but you know for sure there is something in your life worth the value of that ticket that you could forego for 1 month that would pay for the ticket….and you know that going to that concert will really make you feel good….it’s called LIVING!

What about the bigger decisions like following a dream or looking to do something for yourself or even work for yourself? The things you have to work through are the logistics of what you want to do, how you can fund what you want to do, how can you make a success of what you want to do? The one issue that should be nowhere near the decision making process is, waiting for the right time.

Waiting for the right time is a fear of failure, it is a fear of the unknown, and whilst a legitimate fear, understand that there will never in your life be a ‘right time’ there will always be something that can be used as a legitimate (in your eyes) excuse.

So plan, take small achievable steps towards your goal every day. The greatest part of the battle is just turning up.
