But what if we’re wrong?
We all have our moral compass which dictates what is right and what is wrong. We all have our beliefs about what is true and what is not.
But what if we’re wrong?
You can’t control what other people think, say or do, and getting angry at that person and telling them they are wrong only has the effect of emboldening that person’s point of view.
As with all things in life, you can only control the controllables. It is up to you to decide to not be offended. See the other person in a different light, see how they are stuck in a cognitive “caveman” pattern of having to defend themselves against anything that does not agree with their position, because that constitutes a threat to their survival.
Stop arguing with them. Stop trying to change them. You only have one course of action to improve your life…Choose to NOT BE OFFENDED.
If you can’t make this choice then you are the same as the person offending you, you are stuck in a “caveman” cognitive loop.
