I don’t know what I want to do… I’m lost

Social media constantly shows us successful people, driven and motivated. But most of us are lost, looking for a path.

So where does Vision come from?

A problem most of us have is that we sit down and set some goals, we are motivated to achieve them, and we go at them full bore. However we quickly seem to lose that initial enthusiasm, and then we stop setting goals because we just know we’ll lose interest.

I always had this same issue of setting goals but quickly losing interest, and I could never work out why. But I realise now one of the problems was I was always being too specific by thinking I had to set a detailed vision, and I was then not flexible enough to allow myself to deviate off the set path when circumstances changed. It’s then that the vision or goal became a chore, and I would lose interest.

Don’t let your Vision/Goal get too detailed. Don’t narrow it down to specific things. Just look at the kind or person you want to be, and the kind of life you want to live, that is where your direction will come from.
