Bruce Lee Wisdom...

Bruce Lee would have turned 77 this November….everyone on the planet knows who he is, and some 44 years after his death he is regularly referred to as the father of modern day MMA and the subsequent UFC brand.

However you should try to look past the fighter and look closely at his philosophy. Bruce Lee was a deep thinker and philosopher. Following are some of my favourite selections of this great man’s wisdom.

“Art reaches its greatest peak when devoid of self-consciousness. Freedom discovers man the moment he loses concern over what impression he is making or about to make”

 ‘”Do not run away…..let go’”

“The greatest mistake is to anticipate the outcome of the engagement; you ought not to be thinking of whether it ends in victory or defeat. Train hard, do your best, then nature will takes its own course”

“I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.”

“Don't fear failure. — Not failure, but low aim, is the crime. In great attempts it is glorious even to fail.”

“A good teacher protects his pupils from his own influence. ”

“Those who are unaware they are walking in darkness will never seek the light”

And of course the classic...

“Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.”
