Be the Person you once Needed
We all have wisdom in different areas of our lives. Some know what the break-down of a relationship or divorce is all about, others know what it’s like to go broke, etc., etc., etc.
There are a multitude of people out there going through hardships for the first time that you have once experienced and learnt from. Be the person you needed when you went through your own troubles.
Everyone has experienced hardships and troubles, some worse than others. However 99% of people keep all that experience bottled up and never share it with anyone else.
Remember when you were in a very dark place. What kind of person would you have wanted to give you advice at that time? What can you see now, with the benefit of hindsight, that you would have done differently? What you have is wisdom and experience, and you should share that because it could help at least one person from tipping over the edge.
Now I’m not proposing you become a guru and start pushing your advice on anyone who looks a little depressed. I just mean that opportunities will come up in your life where someone needs advice or direction…will you help?
